Bas: Masdevallia pusilla Rolfe, Bull. Misc. Inform. Kew. 1893(82,83): 335. 1893.

TYPE: Habitat not recorded. It flowered at Glasnevin in Aug 1891, and on subsequent occasions, when it was sent for determination by Mr. F.W. Moore, the keeper of the Royal Botanic Gardens (holotype, K).
